However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test the i3+ does not have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can be stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it may have trouble navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot suggests that you clean up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so they don't become clogged with dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is filled or the battery is low it will return to its docking station, automatically emptying its dirt into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half continuous use. It takes about three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with all the latest features. It has self-charging and self-navigating. But the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can direct your robot using the app or voice.
In our testing the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and move around the room and vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. We were able, once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited running time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is an average and not a remarkable run time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's enough time to sweep the average-sized home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second pass usually works). This doesn't mean that this model isn't a good choice It's lighter and more mobile than the older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is significantly better on carpets with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuum s The 694 is an entry-level model that's a great option for those who don't wish to spend too much on a robot. It was able to remove the majority of types of debris in our testing and often went over the same area several times for a thorough clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach corners and the edges of walls.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and guide you through your home.
